Research Interests :
My primary research interest lies with the prehistoric life forms and their interaction with palaeoenvironments. Hence, my research work focuses on phylogeny and reconstruction of life dynamics through functional morphology and osteohistology of fossil vertebrates where the skeletal articulation, soft tissue reconstruction, bone tissue, ontogeny, growth strategy and lifestyle adaptations of the fossil bones are examined to understand the animal behind these bones and their interaction with the surrounding palaeoecology. Fossilization pathways have also fascinated me for which I have evolved as a field vertebrae palaeontologist with skillsets of systematic exploration and excavation of vertebrate macro- and micro-fossils from varied Gondwana basins in peninsular India.
